AARP Tax Aide will begin operating the week of February 16, 2021.
There will not be any of the traditional in-person tax preparation. There are two ways to get help from AARP this year: (1) You can request help from a volunteer counselor to coach you through the process using your own computer while screen-sharing, OR (2) You can make a request to have a volunteer prepare your taxes for you virtually after you bring your documents to the library to be scanned. For the second option, you will be required to go to the AARP website to get on a waitlist. This list will be used to set up scanning appointments Please call us if you need help.
Go here to sign-up for the waiting list.
Once you are added to the list, the AARP tax aide program will contact you via phone to set up your scanning appointment.
After your documents are scanned, you will be contacted by AARP again to review your information by phone.
